My name is Vinko Radonic. I was born in Dubrovnik, in Croatia, and lived on beautiful island Korcula most of my life. I am a musician for many years and at the moment I am entertaining audiences in the east of England - from Peterborough to London. Before I came in UK, for many years I have been playing and entertaining audiences around the world: on cruise ships, clubs, hotels and restaurants, with different bands and successful duet "Lanterna". In November 1993 I've decided to start on my own as "one man band". Today I am living in Ipswich and successfully entertaining people in pubs, clubs, hotels, restaurants and holiday camps around Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire area on any occasion: from weddings to retirement parties and anniversaries gigs. One of my achievements that I am very proud of was very successful Queen's Golden Jubilee in Felixstowe Celebration where I was appointed by BBC East and organisers as Musical Director of the venue (check more here). |

I am currently operating a website geared towards pianists, and I am sure they may benefit from a link out to your website. So I have taken the liberty of including it in my Music Directory. I have also additionally added you to the partners area on the left-hand panel, which is visible on every page." (18th Dec 2007) Eugene from Piano Lessons with Master Teachers

..."Thank you very much for your contribution into making Sarah and Brian's day so special. Everybody enjoyed themselves immensely. The day couldn't have gone better. We were very pleased. Your music received many positive comments and was much admired by all. Thank you again"... - Anne and Ray Pomroy - Felixstowe Music Style I am playing and singing music from 50's, to present day songs, in brief, songs that everyone knows. Because I am playing a few songs from my favourites Julio Iglesias, Enrique Iglesias, Gipsy Kings, Nicola di Bari, Eros Ramazzotti, Fabrizio De André and Zuccherro, people know me as entertainer with 'Latin touch', because my repertoire reminds them on their summer holidays (most of my songs are about love). I do play my music to raise a profile of various charities or raise finances to buy some special needs equipment for various disabled people. If you have such venue, please do contact me at any time. Hobbies and Interests Music My favourite hobby is music, it doesn't matter in which way I am enjoying (playing, singing or listening) I always appreciate it.
Computing I am a gadget man (as man usually are) and was involved with electronics and radio-ham from my teenage age. After stopping professionally to sail as Radio Officer/Purser on Merchant Navy, I've decided to pursue career in computing. I've graduated at University College Suffolk in Ipswich in 1999 - BSc (Hons) in Business Information Technology and started to run my own business. After nearly 5 years running my own business, I've decided to go back to education. I've started to work as County ICT Technical Assessor & Advisor for Communication & Access with a base at Thomas Wolsey Special Needs School in Ipswich. Due to my caring attitude and interest in computers, after 2 months of work, I've started my Masters of Science in Assistive Technology at King's College London. I do a lot of care as in the past, but this time it helps me to find assistive technology solutions much easier.
Sailing I was involve with sea from my early age and in my teenage period I was involve with Sailing Club Korčula (presently Oreb Sailing School). While I was member I was enjoying sailing and windsurfing in one of the best spots in Europe - Korčulansko-Pelješki Kanal. I am still sailing when I find some spare time on rivers Deben and Orwell and occasionally North Sea (check some photos here).
Rowing While I was employee of Mediteranska Plovidba Korčula (link), whenever I was in summer at home I use to be a member of rowing squad when we competed with other shipping companies from Croatia on regular once-a-year championships. We were always at the top of the list when rowing was in question. In summer 2000 I was involved with Brackenbury Rowing Squad for regular summer rowing sessions.
Nursing (check here) I worked as auxiliary nurse and carer in West Suffolk Hospital - Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich General Hospital, in addition to residential and private homes looking after elderly and disabled people.
Modeling (check here) I've worked as a model 2 years for a family that owned wedding shops.
Volunteering (check here) I worked as volunteer mostly in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich & Felixstowe area, helping people with gardening, shopping, driving, etc.
Extra In addition to above mentioned, I've worked as extras in a couple of Yugoslav films. My last work as extra was in 1989 during my tour with band in New Zealand in "Champion", a charming, affectionate coming-of-age drama set against the backdrop of New Zealand during the Second World War. Michael James played the visiting black soldier who was befriended by the 12-year-old Milan Borich (that I've helped with a few pronunciations) and his schoolboy chums. Director Peter Sharp lovingly re-created the forties period trappings, but also made some serious points about racism and small-town prejudices. It was great experience and I had a lovely time with a lot of staff and extras. |
