4^th September 05 AAATE Conference Lille 2005 - The Association for the Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe (AAATE) organised its 8th conference in Lille, France, in 2005. This biannual conference was another opportunity for people to discuss new developments, trends and research in the field of assistive technology. 29^th June 05 Thunderstorm in Ipswich - Check a few photos taken around 16:55 during just a few minutes of stormy weather, flooded garages (included mine) and part of the trip via A14 to Ransomes Europark around Copdock Interchange.

12^th June 05 Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London provides a comprehensive range of neuro-musculoskeletal health care, ranging from the most acute spinal injury or complex bone tumour to orthopaedic medicine and specialist rehabilitation for chronic back pain sufferers. This is a hospital where I will be working next week as a part of my study for Masters in Assistive Technology.

31^st May 05 West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre - Access to Communication Technology (ACT) Birmingham - This is a place where I am going to do another work placement regarding my Masters in Assistive Technology till 3rd June.

15^th May 05 Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability London - I was here for a week on my work placement as a part of my studies for my Masters in Assistive Technology at King's College Hospital in London. Great experience.

26^th Apr 05 SilkRiders – In the Footsteps of Marco Polo - Rout 66, the Paris-Dakar, the Pan Alaskan Highway are all there, as is the East African Passage. But oldest and perhaps most famous is the Silk Road.

Seven Kiwi riders, nicknamed the Silkriders – will retrace the route by motorcycle. Almost 15,000 kilometres long, spanning 15 countries and three religions, this epic journey is guaranteed to be one heck of a ride.

5^th Apr 05 Karol Józef Wojtyła, known as John Paul II since his October 1978 election to the papacy, will be buried on Friday. Rome's mayor said the city was preparing to "grind to a halt" for the funeral of the Pope, who died on Saturday 2nd April aged 84 after a 26-year reign.
