Statue of Liberty
New York City, which is both the largest city in the state and in the United States, is known for its history as a gateway for immigration to the United States and its status as a financial, cultural, transportation, and manufacturing centre. It is also a global centre for politics, art, culture, and fashion and has a huge tourist industry.

It was named after the 17th century Duke of York, James Stuart, future James II and VII of England and Scotland. New York City has around 8.3 million inhabitants, while the metropolitan area has a much higher population of almost 19 million. It comprises five boroughs - Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. I've stayed at Staten Island, and I have visited Queens & Manhattan. Read more about New York at Wikipedia.

Info about Trinity Root

The Trinity Root - On September 11th, debris from collapsing World Trade Center towers knocked over a giant sycamore tree that had stood for nearly a century in the churchyard of St Paul's Chapel, at Broadway and Fulton Street. When the dust settled, the uprooted tree was found lying on a narrow path in the yard. It had fallen in such a way that none of the historic tombstones around it were disturbed, and none of the wreckage reached the chapel.

Sculptor Steve Tobin heard the story of the sycamore and envisioned using its roots as the base for the bronze sculpture. It is installed on the fourth anniversary of the terrorist attacks to stand as a testament to life, humanity and the positive response to the catastrophe.
