NEWSPAPER CUTS Read below what is written on these newspaper cuts. These newspapers cuts are from "Citizen", "Bury Free Press" and "East Anglian Daily Times" newspapers (Feb 1999).
Lookalikes to aid appeal Singer Vinko will be joining two TV lookalikes to help raise funds for hospital appeal. Peter Mason and Paul Boast will be impersonating Robson and Jerome at Cornhill Walk Shopping Centre in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday. All proceeds will go to the West Suffolk Hospital's Rainbow Appeal, which aims to raise £1 million to create a new children's ward.
'Robson and Jerome' set hearts beating in Bury Shoppers looking for last-minute St Valentine's Day gift for their loved ones will be in for a treat with a serenade from Robson Green and Jerome Flynn. But instead of the real acting and singing duo, look-alikes Paul Boast and Peter Mason will be the ones wowing the crowds in Bury St Edmunds. The Bury-based pair will be entertaining shoppers in Cornhill Walk shopping centre on Saturday with a popular selection of romantic songs to get people in the mood for St Valentine's day. As well as putting their singing skills to the test, Paul and Peter, who will be joined by musician and singer Vinko Radonic, will raise money for West Suffolk Hospital's Rainbow Appeal. Paul, of Devon Close, and Peter, of Samuel Street Walk, began their career a year ago after someone told Paul he looked like Robson while he was doing karaoke. "He was then looking for someone to join him to make up the duo and it started from there," said Peter. "We are very keen on raising money for the Rainbow Appeal. My baby daughter Emily spent time in the Rainbow Ward and it will be fantastic if they can do all the work on it they want to. Vinko has supported the appeal since it started. " Sponsored by Cornhill Walk, the concert takes place from 10am until noon and from 2 to 4pm with a draw at 4pm, which includes a PlayStation, cuddly toy, chocolates and a meal for two at Cafe Rouge as prizes.
