The Live 350A is a bi-amplified Full Range speaker which produced a power of 340 Watts RMS and a program power of 670 Watts. Live 350/A is a product which is ideal for Full Range use and also provides excellent performance at low frequencies. 

To obtain a fuller, more powerful sound, SR Technology  recommend the use of an SW 500/A connected to the Live 350/A by means of the crossover output. No compromises where negotiated to manufacture this powered loudspeaker, in fact SR Technology use THE top of the line transistors on the market today.

The History

SR Technology was established relatively recently in 1996 in a small and beautiful city named Recanati in mid Italy. The area is traditionally famous for the great  poet Giacomo Leopardi, musical instruments like the Accordion, delicious and traditional foods, electronic products, fine furniture and so on...

Yes, the company has a short history as an official enterprise but yet it has a long prehistory in its technologies. The company was initiated by 2 engineers, Sergio Menchinelli and Ferdinando Canale, who have long year experiences in studying audio engineering and designing audio products including ICs at several famous high-tech companies such as, Marconi^®, SGS^®, Texas Instruments^®, Meyer Sound^®, i.e. they are general professionals acquiring all the technologies related to audible sounds.

In the first year they realized several speaker systems and amplifiers based on their experiences even including active speakers. It is said that active speakers are ideal for Hi-Fi (Hi-End) sound regeneration, but when it comes to the practical design, it is  very difficult to produce them since every factor must be well balanced electrically and mechanically at the same time to be a great product. It needs a deep know-how based on many experiments on amplifiers, loudspeakers and acoustic boxes. On this point they had already accumulated tremendous test data analyzed and reintegrated to mathematics formulas which could function in the practical design without repeating the same tests. For this back ground, their active speakers were well refined from the beginning and showed better performances than conventional systems did. Naturally the products were preferably accepted in the market and they could successfully start SR Technology.

Today

SR Technology is producing high quality audio products, active loudspeakers, passive loudspeakers, amplifiers, portable mixing consoles in a wide range, all the products are evaluated as extremely professional.

In 2000, SCHERTLER^® in Switzerland who is one of the top producers of transducers (magnetic pick-up) for acoustic  instruments, joined the company and reorganized the sales channel worldwide and helping with product planning. 

The Technology for the best sound

There are manufactures in audio products around the globe and the products can be usually categorized to home audio and professional audio in the application fields. Even these fields are different, there is a common fact that loudspeakers should always be connected to a amplifier when producing sound. 

Years ago several manufactures introduced "Powered" loudspeakers and the compactness was acknowledged but the sound was almost the same as conventional systems because just a power-amp was attached to the loudspeaker enclosure keeping a passive cross-over inside. What we can expect in powered loudspeakers is that the shorter length of the loudspeaker cables may improve the energy losses. 

Frankly speaking it is unwilling work for PA manufactures to extend their products to real active loudspeakers which require well balanced design and lot of testing because the internal modifications of active loudspeakers are strictly limited mechanically and electrically after once they have been launched into the market. SR Technology is one of few challengers who have developed active Loudspeakers that require the sophisticated design. 

Today many PA manufactures are starting to produce active loudspeakers since the sound is much better than the conventional system, theoretically, but as mentioned before, when it comes to the commercial products of much better sound, compactness and affordable price, you still need a lot of engineering work to find out the compact enclosure dimension to contain both speakers and amplifiers considering the strength and acoustic effects, to find out the optimized combination of loudspeakers and amplifiers, to device safety protection and to secure reliable long use as professional equipment. In this respect SR Technology is already a pioneer from the beginning who can immediately offer models from 60 to 700 watts RMS power. 

In fact the active loudspeakers of SR Technology have proved better Hi-Fi resolutions than any conventional passive loudspeaker. The excellent sound is audible when you make a comparison in actual listening with other loudspeakers. Thus SR Technology's active loudspeakers are sellable without big advertisement and marketing strategies. Those technologies have been fed back to designing the passive loudspeakers and the individual amplifiers of SR Technology for the users who want loudspeakers and amplifiers separately. 

Further not only for audio technology but also the precise thermal control technology for amplifiers is also applied to the seasoning process of tobacco industry by the special unit made by SR Technology. This fact proves that the engineering capability of SR Technology is so wide and deep.
